How We Choose Providers

We only connect people with ILO providers registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, who deliver the ILO stage you need, work in your area, have room to take you on and agree to contact you promptly. We check they did, and we stop working with providers who don't.

  1. Registered With the NDIS Commission

    We only work with providers registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, so they can be paid from agency-managed plans too. We check the Commission's public provider register when they join, and again from time to time.

  2. They Deliver ILO

    Providers tell us whether they deliver exploration and design, ILO supports, or both, and the kinds of arrangements they set up, like host and housemate arrangements. We only pass your details on for the stage you need.

  3. Working in Your Area, With Room to Take You On

    Providers tell us where they work and when they're taking on new participants. We only pass your details on when they may be able to help.

  4. They Contact You Promptly

    Providers agree to contact you promptly after we pass your details on. We follow up to check they did. If they didn't, we find someone else.

  5. The Decisions Stay Yours

    The NDIA says ILO decisions should be made by the person, and that the service proposal needs their involvement and agreement. We don't work with providers who push a ready-made arrangement instead of designing one around you.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't decide funding or give advice about your plan. That's the NDIA, with your support coordinator.
  • We don't check hosts or housemates. Ask the provider how they do it, using our questions to ask an ILO provider.
  • We don't send your details to a group of providers at once. It's one at a time.
  • We don't charge you anything. Providers pay us for introductions, as explained on how it works.
